PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Police issued a warning about scam calls impersonating their department.
On Wednesday, officers said they received multiple reports about the scam calls.
The caller pretends to be a Pittsburgh Police officer and says the person receiving the call has missed jury duty. They threaten legal action unless a fine is paid.
Pittsburgh Police said this is not a valid call.
This is the second batch of scam calls Pittsburgh Police have reported in January.
