Man dies days after Glassport shooting, police say; suspected shooter arrested Tuesday

GLASSPORT — A man has died days after he was shot in Glassport.

The Allegheny County Police Department says a man shot in the torso outside the entrance to a home on Hemlock Alley on Jan. 31. died on Feb. 2. at an area hospital. He has not yet been identified by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The department also announced an arrest in the case. They say through witness interviews and evidence at the scene, detectives determined Robert Wright, 26, of Glassport, was responsible for the shooting. He was arrested Tuesday night.

Wright is facing charges of homicide, aggravated assault and persons not to possess a firearm.
