PITTSBURGH — The National Weather Service has issued a Cold Weather Advisory for the ridges of Westmoreland, Indiana and Fayette counties along with eastern Preston and Garrett counties from 1 a.m. Tuesday through 10 a.m. Wednesday, where wind chills could get as low as -11 degrees.
Gear up for one of the coldest starts of the season Tuesday with wind chills near or below zero for much of the area.
Wind chills could dip as low as -10 or colder making it dangerous to be outside for long periods if you are not prepared and a Cold Weather Advisory has for the ridges of Westmoreland, Indiana and Fayette counties where that is most likely.
Scattered snow showers could make roads slick at times through the afternoon with steadier bands of snow possible in a few spots.
