Cold rain, snow showers possible again Wednesday; cool air starts moving out Thursday

PITTSBURGH — Cold rain will mix with snow showers at times again Wednesday as the March-like chill sticks around.

A burst of steady rain will be possible, especially after lunch into the early afternoon, so plan for another slow afternoon commute.

The slow-moving system that’s kept us damp and chilly will finally start to move out Thursday, bringing a return of dry, milder weather.

Temperatures will jump more than 20 to 25 degrees by this weekend and the return of warmer weather and sunshine will make it look and feel more like May.
