Temperatures will start in upper 30s Thursday, will eventually get to 70s

PITTSBURGH — Dress in layers Thursday and don’t forget the jacket. Temperatures will start out in the upper 30s with normally colder spots north and east of Pittsburgh cold enough for patchy frost. It will be even colder closer to I-80 where a Freeze Warning is in effect.

High temperatures will climb more than 30 degrees through the day, eventually topping out in the low to mid-70s.

The next system brings even milder temperatures on Friday along with an uptick in humidity. While most of the day will be dry, a few late-day showers will be possible with steadier rain developing into Saturday.

Right now, Severe Weather Team 11 is tracking on and off showers and a stray thunderstorm Saturday, so check the live Severe Weather Team 11 forecast on Channel 11 News before making outdoor plans.
