PITTSBURGH — Near record warmth will end the week with highs in the upper 70s, not far from the record high of 79 set in 1990.
Clouds will increase through the day ahead of the next system bringing rain and the threat for storms this weekend.
Showers and a few storms could move through the area Saturday morning through noon, with several dry hours expected through the afternoon. A second round of rain will develop late Saturday evening into early Sunday morning and could include another line of strong storms.
Showers will gradually end through the day Sunday.
