Temperatures cool down overnight before sunshine on Monday

PITTSBURGH — It will be pleasant this evening but turn chilly as temperatures fall from the 50s through the 40s. Overnight temperatures will drop near the freezing mark to kick off the week.

You’ll need a coat Monday morning with temperatures in the 30s as you head out the door but you won’t need it all day! Monday will be sunny with a big warm-up through the day, highs will reach the low 60s.

Expect a mostly dry and mild week with a surge of warmer air for Thursday and Friday. There is a slight chance for showers on Thursday but most of this work week should feature sunny and dry conditions. It will be a great week for outdoor sports and projects.

We are watching a system that may bring heavy rain and strong gusty winds to the area by the weekend.
