Next round of rain moves in Wednesday afternoon

PITTSBURGH — Our active weather pattern continues with another round of showers returning late Wednesday through Thursday.

After a dry start, showers return Wednesday afternoon mainly north of Pittsburgh with a better chance for more widespread rain before midnight.

Several hours of steadier rain will continue through early Thursday morning and you may hear a rumble of thunder or see a few flashes of lightning overnight. However, no severe weather is expected.

Showers will continue off and on through the day Thursday along with gusty winds and colder temperatures changing rain showers to snow showers before midnight.

The cold, unsettled weather pattern sticks around through the weekend so check with Severe Weather Team 11 as you make your plans
