PITTSBURGH — Grab the sunscreen and the sunglasses as you head out Thursday and enjoy some time outdoors. Humidity levels are still low and high temperatures will top out in the low 80s-near normal for this time of the year.
Kids may need the umbrella at the bus stop Friday, especially after school. Showers will develop mid morning and Severe Weather Team 11 is tracking the chance for a few pop-up storms. Severe storms are not in the forecast at this point but stay weather aware with updates from our team of meteorologists as you make plans for Friday evening.
Heat and humidity will make weather headlines this weekend and heat index readings could top push into the low 90s.
