Increasing sunshine for the day, temperatures to reach 40s

PITTSBURGH — Hope you had a great Christmas and start to Hanukkah!

Nice and quiet weather today for those traveling back home. Aside from a brief shower this morning, the day will be dry with increasing amounts of sunshine. It will be mild with highs into the upper 40s.

The weekend will be even warmer but with a couple rounds of rain. The first will come with some light showers Friday evening, with a break for much of the day Saturday. The next cold front will push through Sunday, bringing steady rain for at least parts of the day. Much of the area could get close to 60 before we start to cool off significantly next week.
