PITTSBURGH — It will be wild with on and off rain showers through the evening, temperatures will fall through the 40s. We will ring in the New Year in the low 40s as winds pick up. Winds will gust up to 30mph overnight in the morning as leftover rain showers mix to snow showers into the morning.
TRACK THE RAIN AND SNOW HERE
New Year’s Day will be cold with scattered snow showers through the day and at night. Most areas will only see a dusting, mainly after sunset. However, a few inches of snow is possible north of I-80 and in the ridges and mountains. Daytime temperatures will stay steady temperatures in the mid 30s with wind chills in the 20s.
The colder air will continue to sink in for the reminder of the week. Highs will only make it to the upper 20s into the weekend with more snow showers on the way.
Make sure to stay warm and bundle this week! Have a safe and Happy New Year!
