PITTSBURGH — Temperatures have already started dropping off, and our coolest air so far this season will settle in for the weekend.
Waves of showers will continue through this evening as temperatures quickly fall through the 50s and eventually into the low 40s by Saturday morning.
The breeze will make it feel like it’s in the 30s in much of the area to start the weekend.
Winds will gradually back off Saturday, but it will allow for a very cold start Sunday.
A freeze watch has been issued for the entire area late Saturday night and Sunday morning. Temperatures dropping below 30 degrees in some spots would essentially end the growing season.
