Clouds clear out early Monday with highs in the 70s; chance for rain Tuesday

PITTSBURGH — It will be mostly sunny and very warm this afternoon. Highs will hit the mid to upper 70s. The UV index will be high, so make sure to protect your skin and use sunscreen if you have plans outdoors.

Clouds increase tonight into Tuesday ahead of a cold front that will bring the chance for showers in the afternoon and evening. The best chance for rain will be in Pittsburgh and south.

Clouds will clear for Wednesday, but cooler air will follow, and temperatures will only make it to the low to mid-60s. Overnight lows will also run cold into Thursday morning, wake-up temperatures will dip to around 40 degrees.

The next chance of rain will return to kick off the next weekend.
