Light snow showers, flurries start Tuesday

PITTSBURGH — Another fast-moving system will bring the chance for icy spots and more winter chill. A few light snow showers or flurries will start the day Tuesday with breaks of sunshine possible by the afternoon.

Snow showers return after sunset on Wednesday creating slick spots on untreated surfaces overnight and early Thursday. Most areas will see 1″ or less of snow by Thursday morning but travel could be tricky so check the live Severe Weather Team 11 forecast for updates and plan on delays.

The other big weather story this week will be the strong winds pushing wind chills into the single digits or teens by Thursday. Be sure kids are prepared for a cold day at the bus stop with coats, hats and gloves have a plan to protect your pets.
