A round of steadier rain and gusty storms moves through before sunrise Saturday and continues through midmorning. Any storm that develops will bring frequent lightning and the threat for damaging winds and hail.

Rain will taper to a few isolated showers for several hours through the early afternoon, but another round of strong to severe storms will be possible through Saturday evening.

Heavier rain over the last several days will push creeks and streams out of their banks with rivers rising by Sunday. A Flood Watch has been issued for areas that have seen the most rain so far.

Rain will linger into Sunday with much colder air pouring in for the day. The rain could end as a few wet snowflakes late Sunday night as colder air spills back into the area.
