GREENVILLE, S.C. — A South Carolina restaurant allegedly used food trucks to traffic drugs for cartels, officials say.
In a statement sent to WGHP from the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, 34 people have been charged after an investigation that linked a Greenville, South Carolina restaurant, Los Primos, to drug trafficking for Mexican cartels.
WGHP says the owners of Los Primos, facilitated the drug trafficking through their food trucks and restaurant establishment. The drugs that were trafficked included meth, cocaine, and heroin.
During the investigation, investigators removed 11 kilograms of meth, 584 grams of cocaine, over 20 firearms, and $63,000 in cash, according to WGHP. Investigators believe “more than 1,000 kilograms of meth, 100 kilograms of cocaine, and 2 kilograms of heroin were trafficked through South Carolina by the operation.”
WGHP says they were able to obtain more drugs, including 200 kilograms of meth, 3.5 kilograms of cocaine, 3.2 kilograms of heroin, five ounces of cocaine mixed with fentanyl, 183 pounds of marijuana and 900 Xanax pills from apartments and a stash house in Atlanta, thanks to the information that the investigators obtained during their investigation.
WYFF obtained a statement from the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office which stated that a South Carolina grand jury had issued 124 charges against 34 people.
