PLUMCREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The wife of an Armstrong County man who was found dead in Jefferson County has been arrested.
A court docket was filed against Jennifer Lee Kimberly, 54, of Rural Valley on Friday.
David Kimberly, 56, was reported missing on Sept. 28. In a report, PSP says he was last seen or heard from on Sept. 23, when he took some of his belongings and left his home on Reefer Hollow Road in Plumcreek Township in his van after Jennifer told him she wanted a divorce.
Police said they found his vehicle in a wooded area near the house on Oct. 12. Court documents said it was painted camouflage and had foilage on it in what appeared to be an attempt to hide it.
Investigators went to the Kimberly house to interview Jennifer and her son Cody Weiland.
Weiland, 33, was David Kimberly’s stepson. Police said he confessed to shooting and killing him with a .22 caliber long gun at the home on Sept. 28, wrapped the body in a tarp and moved it to a remote location in Jefferson County. Troopers found the body in that location. Weiland also removed the couch David was sitting on when he shot him and retrieved new carpet in the house, police said.
