West Virginia University is launching a new financial aid program aimed at increasing affordability for in-state undergraduate students.
The program, titled WVU Guarantee, will cover the cost of tuition and fees for such students whose families report an adjusted gross income of $65,000 or less and who complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA.
“By presenting greater accessibility and affordability to any West Virginian with aspirations to pursue higher education, we hope to take price considerations out of the decision for even more students to attend and complete college,” Steve Hahn, interim vice president for enrollment management, said in a release.
