WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. — Homestead Duquesne Road in West Mifflin Borough will be closed in both directions this Sunday evening through Monday morning for water main relocation work.
The closure is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25 and last until approximately 8 a.m. on Monday.
Pennsylvania American Water is conducting the infrastructure work to accommodate a future Allegheny County stormwater facility improvement project. According to the utility company, the overnight closure is required to maintain a safe working zone for a water main tie-in.
The road closure will take place east of Thompson Run Road at the intersection with Thompson Run Road.
Local access to residences and businesses along Homestead Duquesne Road will be maintained during the construction. However, all local traffic will need to approach the area from the east, entering via the intersection of St. Agnes Lane.
