Fayette County dispatchers said emergency crews were called to the BP Gas Station on the 3340 block of Pittsburgh Street (Route 51) at 4:19 p.m. on Saturday.
“As far as we know, one car came off of 51, and hit a parked car,” said Perry Township Deputy Fire Chief Wayne Nichols.
After the vehicle hit the parked car, it crashed into a gas pump and ripped it from the ground.
The gas pump appeared to have sustained damage from flames.
Investigators said four people were taken to a hospital from the scene.
