PITTSBURGH — The US Postal Service Inspection Service is offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a suspect who robbed a letter carrier.

The USPIS said the letter carrier was robbed at the intersection of Hamilton Avenue and Rosedale Street in Homewood at 11:52 a.m. on Wednesday.

They are now offering up to $150,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the robber.

The suspect was described as a Black man in his early 20s who was wearing a light-colored hoodie and dark-colored pants.

He was around 5 feet 6 inches tall and around 130 pounds.

He may have a ruptured blood vessel in one eye.

People are encouraged not to try to apprehend the suspect themselves.

Anyone with information is asked to call the USPIS at 1-877-2455 and ask for law enforcement and reference case 4461115. All information will be kept confidential.
