Temperatures remain pleasant Saturday evening, some rain showers overnight

PITTSBURGH — It will be pleasant and mild this evening, with temperatures in the 50s. Overnight, the skies will turn cloudy, with a few rain showers developing late.

Keep the umbrella handy Sunday, warm and wet weather will impact our forecast through the day but especially into the early afternoon through the evening. Severe weather at this point is not likely but gusty showers are expected. It will be windy throughout the day with gusts reaching 30-35 mph, some higher gusts with rain can’t be ruled out. High temperatures will be around 60 degrees.

Cooler air will follow on Monday, but highs will still run above average by about 10 degrees. Damp and mild conditions are expected for New Year Eve with colder air to follow for New Year’s Day.
