TikTok is unavailable for millions of users in the United States, reports say.
NBC News reports the app began displaying a message saying, “Sorry, TikTok isn’t available right now.”
The message continues, “A law banning TikTok has been enacted in the U.S. Unfortunately, that means you can’t use TikTok for now. We are fortunate that President Trump has indicated that he will work with us on a solution to reinstate TikTok once he takes office. Please stay tuned!”
Around 170 million users are receiving this message, NBC reports.
President-elect Donald Trump said in an interview with NBC that he would most likely give TikTok a 90-day reprieve.

The 90-day pause could be enacted if progress is made in finding a U.S. buyer. During his interview with NBC, Trump did not say whether he was aware of any recent progress toward a sale.
Trump said he will likely make an announcement on the decision on Monday after he is sworn into office.
