PITCAIRN, Pa. — The identities of two teens killed in a double shooting in Pitcairn Thursday have been released.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office says Isiah Mccarthy of Pitcairn and Tyrant Sutton of Clairton, both 16, were declared deceased at a hospital just before 4 p.m.

Both teens were shot during the incident near Wall Avenue and Eleanor Street.

The shooting happened in the area of Wall Avenue after 3 p.m., according to police.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Allegheny County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.

Tamara Allen-Thomas, superintendent of Clairton City School District, gave this statement:

“Although this tragic incident occurred outside our immediate community, the loss of one of our students and a former student to gun violence deeply impacts us all. We extend our heartfelt condolences to their families, friends, and loved ones as we all grieve this devastating loss together.

“Clairton City School District is committed to wrapping our arms around our students, offering support and counseling, and advocating for the resources needed to keep them safe, engaged, and thriving all year long. Our number one priority is the safety of our students, staff and community and we join with the community and mourn the loss of these two young men
