Allegheny County dispatchers said police were called to the area of Laurel Avenue and South Bryant Avenue at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
K9 units were also at the scene.
Police were focused on a house on the 100 block of South Bryant Avenue.
Channel 11 saw a person being taken out of the house in police custody.
Bellevue Police said that person was Kristopher Connelly, 23.
Police said they had been at the house on Wednesday for a domestic situation. They said Connelly was breaking things inside as they approached and threatened to shoot officers when they made contact with him. He was arrested after officers said he tried to run away through a rear staircase.
Connelly had large cuts on his right hand when he was taken into custody. Police said he was taken to a local hospital to be treated, but he fled from his room.
Officers learned he was back at the house on South Bryant Avenue and returned on Friday.
The North Hills Special Response Team was called because of his previous threats, police said.
He was taken into custody for the second time after officers said they found him in an attic crawl space.
Connelly is now being held at the Allegheny County Jail.
