INDIANA, Pa. — A suspect in a deadly shooting of a Cleveland rapper was arrested in Pennsylvania.
According to the U.S. Marshals Service, Carlos Banks, 28, was shot and killed on the 5100 block of Broadway Avenue in Cleveland at 4 a.m. on Dec. 29.
Banks was an up-and-coming rapper who performed under the name KashBankx.
Police say Devon Jones, 25, is a suspect in this shooting.
He was arrested by the Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force, Indiana County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana County District Attorney’s Office and Pennsylvania State Police in Indiana County Thursday night.
Jones was found at a house on the 200 block of Washington Street in the city of Indiana.
U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “Our Marshals Service counterparts in western Pennsylvania responded swiftly to locate and arrest this Cleveland homicide suspect. Now, the grieving family of the victim in this case is one step closer to getting the justice they deserve.”
Illegal narcotics were found when Jones was arrested, police said. He will be charged with felony drug possession in Indiana County.
