The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed former Miami Dolphins quarterback Skylar Thompson to a future contract for the 2025 season, according to his agency, Sports Trust.

Thompson, 27, spent his first three NFL seasons with the Dolphins after they drafted him in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Kansas State.

Serving mostly as the team’s third-string quarterback behind starter Tua Tagovialoa and backups Teddy Bridgewater, Mike White and Tyler Huntley, Thompson appeared in 10 games over the last three seasons, making three starts.
