Greensburg man wanted for allegedly breaking into home, assaulting homeowner and her son

GREENSBURG, Pa. — State police are looking for a Greensburg man charged with burglary and aggravated assault.

An arrest warrant is out for Seth Michael Vanderella, 33, who police say is wanted for a burglary, assault and harassment incident this year.

According to the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office, Vanderella is accused of breaking into a Unity Township home overnight in July and attacking the homeowner and her son. He reportedly fled before police arrived.

Officials say the victim’s son tried to intervene when the victim was being assaulted, but he was shoved to the ground.

Vanderella is described as 5 feet 10 inches and 215 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

His last known address was 230 N. Hamilton Ave., Greensburg, though police say he could be in the Lancaster area.
