PITTSBURGH — Grab a light jacket or sweater as you head out early Tuesday, but have the short sleeves ready by the afternoon as springlike weather sticks around. A cool start will give way to a sunny, warm afternoon with highs near 70, more than 20 degrees above average for this time of the year.
It will be windy with gusts to 25 mph at times, which, along with the very dry conditions, could increase the threat for fires.
Cooler temperatures settle in overnight with a few more clouds in the area on Wednesday. The next best chance for wet weather, however, holds off until the weekend.
