OHIO TOWNSHIP, Pa. — There’s a widespread water outage in Ohio Township due to a large water main break.
The Ohio Township Police Department says a 12-inch line broke on Grandview Road between Crawford Road and Rebecca Drive. The main has “significant damage.” Police say it will take “some time” until service is restored.
Grandview Road was also significantly damaged by the break will be closed through Monday, police said.
West View Water Authority is on scene working to fix the break. Once the line can be shut down, they will try to flow water through an alternate path to restore some service.
