PITTSBURGH — Rain is moving back into the region late tonight.
Widespread rain and storms are expected throughout the day on Tuesday, especially from around midday through the evening hours. Heavy rain could produce localized flooding.
Make sure to keep a close eye on the water levels, especially in low-lying areas, creeks and streams and flood-prone locations. If you see rising water, get to higher ground and never drive through flooded roads.
The flooding threat will continue to be a concern through Thursday, with a higher threat for strong to severe storms by midweek.
We will get a break from the wet weather and a brief break from the higher humidity on Friday. The weekend ahead looks mostly dry with a hot stretch on the way; highs may reach near 90 degrees by Sunday.
