Our crew saw detectives taking pictures, gathering evidence and going in and out of the bar.

There are several homes in the vicinity of the shooting scene, and several people witnessed the incident. One woman told us that she was home when one of her friends alerted her about a reported shooting.

“We got a text message, then we came out, and all we seen was the cops around the bar and someone doing CPR on someone,” she said. “And all I seen is blood on the ground, and that’s all I know.”

ACPD says preliminary information detectives have gathered so far indicates the suspects fled in a vehicle.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.

Sunday, the Village Inn addressed the tragedy in a social media post.

“We want to extend our deepest condolences to everyone affected by the tragic events that happened yesterday,” the post reads. “If there is one thing we can all agree on it is that this has to stop! We will open later this afternoon (3pm) and the kitchen will be closed until tomorrow. Every patron will be wanded and required a valid Id to enter.”
