PITTSBURGH — An historic estate property in Pittsburgh’s Highland Park neighborhood is currently for sale for $2.98 million.
The property, known as the Baywood Estate, is a designated historical landmark. It is located at 5501 Elgin St., and it is listed for sale with Mark Jennings of Piatt Sotheby’s International Realty.
The property holds special significance in the region’s history. It was originally owned by Alexander King, grandfather of famed financier Richard King Mellon. It’s also the former site of the Pittsburgh Art Museum. The current owners of the home fully restored and modernized it.
