Emergency crews were called to the 300 block of North Balph Avenue at around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
In a letter to families, North Hills School District said students from Highcliff Elementary and North Hills Middle School were on the bus at the time of the crash, but no students reported being injured.
Preliminary investigations show two cars collided, and at least one of the cars made contact with the bus, the district says.
North Balph Avenue was closed in the area for more than an hour but has since reopened.
