PITTSBURGH — Road closures in Downtown Pittsburgh are planned for this weekend for cooling units to be lifted by a helicopter onto the top of a building.
On Saturday, Feb. 8 - weather permitting - the helicopter will perform five separate lifts.
Beginning at 6:30 a.m., the closures are as follows:
- Liberty Ave. will be between Smithfield St. & Grant St.
- Tenth St. from Exchange Way to Liberty
- William Penn Seventh Ave. to Liberty Ave. (Drury Hotel traffic only)
Beginning at 7:30 a.m. the closure is as follows:
- Grant Street from Seventh Ave. to Liberty Ave.
The operation is expected to last until 10 a.m. Public Safety will announce when all roads have reopened.
