AUSTINTOWN, Ohio — PNC chair and CEO Bill Demchak said he’s never been more excited about the opportunities in front of the Pittsburgh-based bank as it enters 2025. Posting record revenue in 2024 and besting numbers in key categories from the prior year, as well as Wall Street’s forecasts, positions PNC for a strong year.
PNC is close to rolling out a new online banking platform, Demchak said during its fourth-quarter earnings call on Thursday.
“It’s one of the pieces of the puzzle of making everything we do cloud-native,” he said.
It will provide a better experience for customers and allow PNC to change and introduce products “on the fly,” Demchak said. PNC will be able to accomplish overnight what has been a six-month process.
