AUSTINTOWN, Ohio — Two years after #1 Cochran Automotive extended its footprint beyond western Pennsylvania into eastern Ohio, expansion into the adjacent state continues.
Pittsburgh’s largest automotive retailer on Wednesday acquired Fred Martin Mercedes-Benz and Ford in Austintown, Ohio.
Terms were not disclosed. The transaction expands #1 Cochran’s footprint in the Youngstown market and introduces its first Mercedes-Benz franchise and fifth Ford store.
Situated at 4701 Mahoning Ave., the dealerships will operate as Mercedes-Benz of Youngstown and #1 Cochran Ford Youngstown. Almost all of the Fred Martin employees have joined #1 Cochran, bringing the company’s total team member count to 1,900.
