PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival is in the running to be named USA Today’s 10Best in the nation.
Twenty Renaissance fairs were nominated by a panel of experts as the best in the country.
Here’s what USA Today had to say about the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival in West Newton:
“Pennsylvanians can step back in time for the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival, where King Henry welcomes all for six weeks of entertainment. Visitors have the opportunity to see sword swallowers, witch trials, harpists, sword-wielding comedians, and fire-breathing performers. While you’re there, nosh on candied and cinnamon royal nuts, scotch eggs, sausage, and plenty of refreshments at the pubs.”
You have until March 10 at noon to cast your vote and can vote once a day. The 10 winners will be announced on Wednesday, March 19.
