Man suffers serious burns in New Castle apartment fire

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — A man suffered serious burns in a fire at a New Castle apartment building.

Emergency crews responded to 125 West North Street at around 9:45 p.m. Friday A fire broke out in one apartment.

The New Castle fire chief told Channel 11 that a man had serious burns from the fire. The victim was flown to a burn center in Pittsburgh.

Officials also said two other people were treated for minor smoke inhalation.

New Castle City Police detectives are investigating.
