PITTSBURGH — A person was injured during a fight at the Downtown PennDOT driver and vehicle services center.
Pittsburgh public safety officials say police were called to the 700 block of Smithfield Street for a dispute involving multiple people.
Initial reports indicated the fight was between two families, and about 10 people were part of it.
People involved later told police the verbal dispute started inside the DMV but continued outside in the street.
Officials say one person sprayed pepper spray, and another pulled out a gun but did not shoot it.
One person was cut on the head, but it’s unclear how it happened. No other injuries were reported.
Channel 11 received photos from the incident, showing a woman holding a handgun.
No one was arrested or wanted to press charges.
The DMV closed briefly but later reopened.
