FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Greyhound bus crashed in Fairfield Township Sunday night.
The Wilpen Volunteer Fire Company said SR 271 was closed in Fairfield Township between Rachelwood Drive and the Westmoreland County line.
It has since reopened partially, firefighters said.
A Greyhound spokesperson said the bus was traveling from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh and believes it crashed on SR 271 because of icy road conditions.
A relief bus is going to pick up the passengers, the driver and local authorities.
Along with the bus crash, firefighters responded to other calls in that area about disabled vehicles and other crashes.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area if they are out or to stay home.
