PORT VUE, Pa. — Allegheny County Detectives are trying to determine what happened and who is responsible after multiple shots were fired in a neighborhood full of families Monday morning.
Allegheny County Police say this happened around 7:15 a.m. Monday on San Jose Drive in Port Vue. Detectives found two cars that had bullet holes in them and a third car that was crashed into.
Police also found a car that is believed to have fled the scene in Pittsburgh. It was also struck by gunfire.
Neighbors tell me that if the school bus had not come early Monday morning, kids would have been walking right in the path of those bullets. Those neighbors say two suspects were in a car, shooting to kill, with no regard for human life in a neighborhood full of families.
Shattered glass was scattered throughout San Jose Drive Monday. After bullets went through two cars, a home’s fence was also struck by gunfire multiple times. Those bullets went flying right by a bedroom window.
One neighbor says he watched a car that shots were fired from, throw it in reverse, up San Jose drive, while a van was found at the bottom of nearby Alquin Street.
Despite all the damage to cars and property, Allegheny County Police say nobody was hurt.
Allegheny County Police are asking anyone who knows anything about what happened to give them a call. You can remain anonymous. 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
