Man shot in the chest in East Pittsburgh, police say

EAST PITTSBURGH, Pa. — A man was shot in the chest in East Pittsburgh Monday.

Allegheny County police said 911 was notified of a shooting in the Prospect Terrace Housing Complex at 8:20 p.m.

Housing Authority Police found evidence of the shooting but did not find the victim.

Police said a short time later, Duquesne police were called to Viola Street for a man shot in the chest. He was conscious and alert and was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.

Detectives are initiating the investigation.
