Man facing attempted homicide charges after stabbing in McKeesport A man is facing attempted homicide charges connected to a stabbing in McKeesport.

MCKEESPORT, Pa. — A man is facing attempted homicide charges connected to a stabbing in McKeesport.

Police were called to the 200 block of West Fifth Avenue at 11:37 a.m. on Saturday for reports of a woman who had been stabbed.

When police arrived, the suspect and the victim were gone. Witnesses told police the attacker was a black man with dreadlocks who was wearing a black bomber jacket and dark-colored sweatpants.

The woman who was stabbed was later found at an apartment building on Myer Avenue in Port Vue. TShe had been stabbed in her back twice and in her chest twice.

Police said Louis Malone Jr., 32, was identified as someone who matched the description given to officers at the scene of the crime. They found him on the 200 block of Rebecca Street and detained him. Court documents said Malone had blood on both of his hands and a fresh abrasion on his left hand. Police said witnesses and the victim identified Malone as the attacker.

Officers found a steak knife handle near blood stains on Rebecca Street, where Malone was detained.

He is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, attempted homicide, possessing an instrument of crime and recklessly endangering another person.
