NORTH BRADDOCK, Pa. — A man was arrested after police said he fired shots at a delivery driver’s car in North Braddock on Monday.
Dontae Brown, 24, is facing multiple charges including aggravated assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and tampering with evidence.
“It’s terrible. They need more police protection around here,” Lesa Sanders told Channel 11.
Sanders is from North Braddock and told Channel 11 she wants more police patrols in the neighborhood after a Dominoes pizza driver was shot at while making a delivery.
“I wouldn’t do it. I wouldn’t do it. I would not deliver anything. I wish all of them would stop delivering. That’s for real because they’re shooting anybody,” she said.
The delivery driver told investigators he was out making a delivery, when a silver sedan almost hit him, then began following him.
He tried turning around, then that’s when police say Dontae Brown came out of a nearby house, and pointed a gun at his face — and told him “leave or you’ll be killed.”
When the driver drove off, detectives tell Channel 11, Brown fired at least three shots that hit the driver’s car. The delivery driver was not hurt.
The North Braddock major coincidentally already had a town hall meeting scheduled for this upcoming Saturday at 10 a.m. to discuss violence in the community.
