Man, 62, arrested for stabbing at Washington County gas station

WASHINGTON, Pa. — An arrest has been made after a stabbing at a gas station in Washington County last week.

On Thursday night around 11:30 p.m., a man walked into UPMC Washington saying he was stabbed at the Exxon on Ridge Avenue. He was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital for his injuries.

Officers then responded to the gas station and said they found evidence that showed a fight happened inside the store.

Police were able to identify the suspect as 62-year-old Lawrence Martin.

On Friday around 4:30 p.m., police served warrants at a home in East Washington Borough and Martin was taken into custody.

Martin was taken to the Washington County Jail and is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
