ROSS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — One person was hospitalized after a crash near a ski shop in Ross Township.

Allegheny County dispatchers said emergency crews were called to the intersection of Perry Highway and Sewickley-Oakmont Road at 5:02 p.m. on Saturday. That is near Willi’s Ski and Snowboard Shop.

Members of Ross West View EMSA said one person had to be rescued from a vehicle at the scene. They were then taken to a local hospital.

The back driver’s side door of an SUV was completely removed.

Medics evaluated several other people at the scene.

Drivers were asked to take alternative routes as crews responded.
