SHALER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Three people were injured in a crash that temporarily closed Route 8 in Shaler Township.
Per Allegheny County police, 911 dispatchers received a call at 1:03 p.m. on Friday about a two-vehicle collision in the 1300 block of William Flynn Highway.
Emergency crews found three adult victims, who were taken to area hospitals in stable condition.
The crash temporarily closed the road between Pennview Street and Spencer Lane.
Just before 4 p.m., Shaler Township Police Chief Sean Frank said the road was expected to open soon.
Based on preliminary information, collision investigators say a sedan with two men inside was leaving a business and crossing the southbound lanes to turn northbound. An SUV with a woman inside was traveling southbound when it hit the sedan.
Police ask anyone with information about the crash to call the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
