15-year-old boy shot multiple times in Pittsburgh’s Stanton Heights neighborhood

PITTSBURGH — A 15-year-old boy was shot multiple times in Pittsburgh’s Stanton Heights neighborhood Thursday morning.

Police were called to the intersection of Stanton Avenue and Woodbine Street around 7:20 a.m.

When police arrived, they found the teen shot multiple times in the chest and legs. Public Safety officials said officers immediately rendered first aid and applied tourniquets to help control the bleeding.

The teen was taken to a hospital in critical but stable condition.

Police said their preliminary investigation shows that the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle. No arrests have been made.

Pittsburgh Police continue to investigate.
