Head-on crash shuts down part of Route 30 in Westmoreland County; 2 taken to hospital

UNITY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A head-on crash shut down part of Route 30 in Unity Township, Westmoreland County, on Friday morning.

The crash happened shortly after 6 a.m. at the intersection of Wimmerton Boulevard near Saint Vincent College.

Emergency dispatchers said that at least two people were entrapped.

Mutual Aid Ambulance Service confirmed that those two people were taken to a hospital and are in stable condition.

The crash is still under investigation.
